From my simple mind to… mine…

Some cool stuff

  • Vonage Companion and Vonage Me

Vonage is a pretty good VOIP service. With Vonage Companion, it becomes a lot like Skype, allowing you to take your phone number anywhere with you.

Vonage Me allows me to give out a URL where clients can enter their number. Once they submit it, Vonage will call them and me. I never have to give out my real number. This is useful for when I have to speak to my client’s sales people.

  • Evernote

This one’s cool. I can snag web pages, texts, pictures, sound, documents and place them into Evernote much like Microsoft’s OneNote (not quite as powerful). The key is that everything is tagged, sorted, indexed and synchronized so that I have access to everything from my computer, phone, or the web.

  • ping.fm

A good way to send out messages and status updates to ALL your social networks (twitter, facebook, myspace, etc, etc). Your other option – pick up the phone!

  • Fluent NHibernate

If you don’t want to create NHibernate XML files, then have a look at Fluent NHibernate. I looked at it for some time, but could not use it for some of my mapping scenarios without writing more code. Still, this thing is awesome – strongly typed mappings!!

  • Remote Desktop Terminals

Useful for managing multiple remote desktop sessions.
