Treo 750 Voice Commands

with one comment

I recently purchased a Treo 750 as an upgrade over my Treo 600. So far, I am VERY happy with the phone.

The Windows Mobile OS has certainly come a long way and in many, many ways is better than the Palm OS I was used to on my 600. About the only drawback is that it takes one or two extra keystrokes compared to the Palm OS for most things.

My version of Windows Mobile 5.0 comes with the Voice Command functionality. It allows me to make calls, open programs, and reads back schedules by utilizing voice commands.

I plan to develop for this device when I get a chance. Stay tuned.

  1. Too cool. I’ve been waiting for a device like this for a while. Is there a .NET CF2 API for voice commands, so I can use them in my apps too? Or at least a primary interop assembly?
